Kayro (“we,” “our,” “us”) is a secure messaging application powered by the Matrix protocol and operated exclusively on our own server infrastructure. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app and services.
By creating an account or using Kayro, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
Account Information: Username, display name, and email address (for account creation, password resets, and important notices).
Messages & Content: Messages, files, and media you send are stored encrypted on our server. We cannot read end-to-end encrypted messages.
Bridged Services: If you connect a third-party service (e.g., WhatsApp, Telegram), we process messages and metadata required to deliver them. Third-party services have their own privacy policies.
Technical Data: IP addresses, device information, and logs for security, troubleshooting, and abuse prevention.
We use your information to:
Operate and maintain the messaging service.
Deliver messages and files to intended recipients.
Enable optional integrations and bridges.
Detect, prevent, and respond to abuse or illegal activity.
Comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell or rent your information. We may share it only:
